The king of the asuras. <!Ravana is the wicked king of Lanka who is defeated by Lord Ram in the end of Ramayan. Legend has it that Ravana abducted Sita, the wife of Ram and took her with him to Lanka to marry her. Ravana is supposed to have had many magical powers attained due to penance in the Himalayas. He was also said to be an expert warrior and general par excellence and had ten heads. Ravana had a son named Indrajeet, who like his father was wicked and an expert in the art of magical illusion, he was ultimately killed in Ramayan by Laxman, the brother of Lord Ram.
